Who is Jesus?

WHO IS JESUS?

Every one of us was created by God with purpose — for relationship with Him.

Jesus is the Son of God who stepped into humanity and lived a blameless, sinless life. He revealed the nature of God through love, truth and grace.

Sin is what separates humanity from God. Scripture reminds us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23, NKJV). None of us are exempt — we have all missed the mark.

But God did not leave us in that separation.

Because of His great love, God sent his one and only son Jesus to make a way where there was none. Where we deserved judgment, He offered mercy. Where there was distance, He built a bridge.

Like a courtroom where guilt demands a sentence, sin carries the consequence of death. Yet Jesus, who was without sin, chose to take our place. Through His death on the cross, He paid the price we could never pay ourselves. And through His resurrection, He defeated death and made new life possible for all who believe. As Scripture says, “For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.” (1 Corinthians 15:21, NKJV).

Because of Jesus, we can now be restored into relationship with God.

Salvation is a gift — received by turning from sin, believing in your heart that Jesus is Lord, and declaring your faith openly. The Bible says, “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:10, NKJV).

WANT TO BEGIN A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS?

Pray this prayer:

Dear Jesus,

I acknowledge that I have made mistakes; I have made choices that have fallen short of Your best for my life. I have sinned and I need a Saviour. Jesus, I believe You are God’s own Son and You died to pay the price for my sin and gave me eternal life. I believe that You rose to life again, three days later, to give me victory. I receive Your forgiveness for my sin and ask You to come into my heart. Wash me clean of all I have done wrong and help me, Lord, to begin to live for You. Holy Spirit, come into my life and help me to get to know You as my Lord and Saviour.
